After the experience of spending over 3 years in wheelchair in his early childhood, Dr Thomas undertook formal studies in Naturopathy & Herb-Farming before studying for 7 years to become a Doctor of Emergency Medicine, Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Surgery.
Dr.Thomas worked as an Air Rescue Officer & and a Surgeon in the Hungarian Army before joining The World Health Organisation as a Volunteer Medical Officer. Working in 11 countries over 10 years he had embraced the opportunity to study many modalities of Natural Medicine to enhance his skills in Traditional & Modern Naturopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Integrative Body-Mind Medicine.
Dr Thomas became an Australian Citizen in 1982 and has practiced on the Gold Coast since 1997 as a Naturopath, specialising in Integrated Naturopathic Diagnostics, Natural Body-Detoxification, Digestive Dysfunctions, Pregnancy Preparation, Physical/Mental Performance Enhancement and Anti-Aging. He is a Senior Research Fellow Member of the Society of Natural Therapists and Researchers (SNTR) and Member of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA).
Limited appointments are available with our renowned Dr Thomas Bige, founding partner and senior coach. Through his unique assessment methods, the generous sharing of his vast knowledge, and with the ongoing support of the Health Coach Team, he has helped many hundreds of people with ill health, and guided many couples who struggled for years with infertility issues, to become parents.

Anita Flego

Anita gained a Diploma of Accountancy in 1982 and worked in budget supervision and as a Master Bookkeeper for Zurich Insurance, United Bank of Switzerland and the Swiss Ski Federation. Anita transitioned into managing Natural Health Clinics when she moved to Australia and she has studied numerous modalities of natural therapies to become a dedicated practitioner own her own right, with an innate ability to really tune-in to each clients’ body and mind.
Chelsea Ashfield
Colon Hydrotherapist • Detox Spa Therapist • Dip. Remedial Massage
In 2008 Chelsea completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage at the NSW School of Natural Medicine and has been a practicing Therapist for 4 years. Chelsea ran her own successful clinic in northern NSW before joining the Health Coach Centre Team.
“I believe by using a holistic approach and treating the cause as well as the symptoms; so that clients can gain maximum benefits for their wellbeing. My treatment includes a combination of deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy too, which can assist the body in recovering from injuries, postural imbalances and musculoskeletal pain.”
In 2012 Chelsea completed theoretical and practical training in Colon Hydrotherapy and Detox-Spa therapies and proudly works alongside Dr. Thomas Bige, gaining exemplary professional guidance. Chelsea is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
Suzanne Carruthers
Colon Hydrotherapist • Detox Spa Therapist

Suzanne completed formal training in Colon Hydrotherapy & Detox Spa therapy with Dr. Thomas Bige and graduated in December 2011.
Initially, Suzanne started as a patient of Dr. Thomas, suffering from bad irritable bowel syndrome and all the associated symptoms.
“The guidance and invaluable insights I gained from Dr. Thomas, by going through my own journey to get well, inspired me to become his student and help others to do the same; learn the amazing ability to self-care and understand your own unique body.”
Now Suzanne is successfully helping others as a Colon Hydro Therapist at the Health Coach Centre.
